Depression and Anxiety are by far the most common mental health concerns of men and women in the United States. About one in every eight women can expect to develop clinical depression in their lifetime. It occurs most frequently in women between the ages of 25 and 44, and it occurs in women at twice the rate it occurs in men.

In my practice, in addition to addressing depression and anxiety specifically, I also feel it important to focus on the overall well being of my client. Life issues such as stress and personal relationships, as well as spiritual and existential concerns envelop our experience of life, and affect our attitudes, beliefs, and coping strategies.

I believe effective therapy acknowledges and contemplates these larger concerns, in the intervention and therapeutic treatment of specific psychological concerns.
